Chhattisgarh Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation Raipur was established on 20.05.2004 as a non-profit making company under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956. It is an undertaking of the Government of Chhattisgarh, Social Welfare Department, which is managed through the Board of Directors nominated by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation, New Delhi (NHFDC) has been authorized on 06.04.2004 as a channelizing agency by entering into a contract with the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation, New Delhi (NHFDC) at the national level to provide loans to Divyangjans in Chhattisgarh in order to connect the Divyangjans with the main stream of self-employment and to conduct the process of their economic rehabilitation, the loan amount is sanctioned at the lowest rate of interest. A total of 2796 Divyang beneficiaries have been benefited from the year of establishment till the financial year 2022-23 by approving loans under the conditions of National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation New Delhi (NHFDC).
For the purpose of encouraging the disabled beneficiaries who make regular loan payments, as per the instructions of the Government of Chhattisgarh, 25 percent of the amount of interest is given in the form of subsidy to the disabled beneficiaries after repaying the loan up to 75 percent from the loan amount of principal and interest is a total of 406 beneficiaries have been benefited by the said scheme till the financial year 2021-22 in the state of Chhattisgarh.
